Chelsea dressed our daughter in her heavenly gown and gently and graciously carried her out of our room and our arms to her next journey.
I was admitted to L & D for a scheduled induction for my baby girl. During the nighttime and early morning hours, Chelsea took care of me and my family. Our baby girl had passed away in utero days before and my family was heartbroken. The nurse was so very kind, loving, supportive, positive, helpful, and normal. She treated us and our baby girl with tenderness and joy. I remember as she left to go home she said, "today is a beautiful day." She reminded us to continue to see the beauty in our daughter’s birth and her special day. She helped us see the light through the darkness, and cushioned our sorrow.
When our daughter was born, Chelsea was with us. During the next 12 hours, she supported and loved our family, especially our baby, by doing the kindest things. She made our daughter a beautiful bow for her hat, she did lots of footprints in special books, she prepared her, she had her big sisters help put on her socks. Chelsea dressed our daughter in her heavenly gown and gently and graciously carried her out of our room and our arms to her next journey. We can never repay Chelsea for her kindness and comfort, but we hope she knows she will always be a beautiful part of our lives, memories, and our sweet baby’s birth story.
