To say that Christie is an impressive nurse would be an understatement. Christie is driven, dedicated and motivated.
There are so many great things to highlight about Christie Cruikshank. She started as a new grad RN with Platte Valley during COVID, since this time Christie has grown exponentially in her professional career. Christie has become a relief charge RN and is also the chair of the Intermediate Care unit-based council that focuses on making unit improvements for both the staff and patients. Christie is also involved in numerous committees throughout the hospital including the Wound Committee, Nurse Staffing Oversight Committee and the Night Shift Committee. She has been actively involved in assisting with annual Skills Day for nurses and in training/precepting our new graduate nurses, as well as taking capstone students through the R1 program. She has trained several nurses who currently work at Platte. Christie attended Clinical Scholar Training in the fall and has become one of the first Clinical Scholars at Platte Valley, establishing a relationship with CU Denver's School of Nursing. We will accept our first cohort of medical/surgical nursing students from CU under Christie's supervision this spring. Christie is currently enrolled in a Leadership Course through Intermountain and has started working on her masters, all while working night shift full time! To say that Christie is an impressive nurse would be an understatement. Christie is driven, dedicated and motivated. She is constantly striving to grow professionally while providing excellent care for her patients and providing training for our new nurses! Thanks for all you do Christie.
