Christina always makes patient-centered care her #1 priority. She treats all patients with respect and continually strives to improve care any way possible. She is an excellent charge nurse and leads by example in providing respectful care to patients and their families.
Recently, Christina suggested meeting patients and families of those at end of life, who need to be transferred from PCU/ICU to a medical floor. She stated that if the charge nurse could meet the patient and their family before transferring, it could alleviate patient fears and concerns. All other charge nurses commented on how thoughtful it was for her to suggest and implement this idea.
