She insured the safety of both me and my son and for that, we will forever be grateful and thankful that she was there for us on this very special yet super urgent and stressful day.
Chris was my nurse several days out of my almost 2 weeks stay in the unit. Both before and after delivery. She was a constant presence and strong woman I was lucky to have in my life during my stay. I was brought in when my water broke at 28 weeks and remained in the unit for almost a week when my umbilical cord ruptured, and I was rushed into an emergency c-section to save both mine and my son's life. Chris was working that morning and jumped into action to ensure that I was taken up to surgery and the baby was removed safely. I’m talking 10 minutes between rupture and the time of his birth. I don’t think in the previous days I had ever seen her move so fast and with such purpose. She insured the safety of both me and my son and for that, we will forever be grateful and thankful that she was there for us on this very special yet super urgent and stressful day. Words will never explain how special she is to us and how she will always hold a place in our hearts. Without her and the rest of the team, I can honestly say I don’t think that day would have gone the way that it did, and we would not have made it out of that situation the same. Baby and I are both striving each day and I no doubt believe she played a major role in this outcome. We love her and will always think of her.
