Cindy does not just "take care" of her patients, she truly cares about them. Sometimes I ride to work with her because we live close to each other. One morning, on the way home from work, we stopped at Kroger because I needed to pick up a few things. While we were in there, Cindy said she needed to get some things too. The things she was getting were for the patients on her unit. She had things like individual mac and cheese cups, snack bars, and other types of things for them to snack on. She said that these patients get tired of cafeteria food and sandwich boxes when they need a snack. Sometimes they are in the hospital for months and are not from this area so do not have family close that can bring them things. Cindy is frequently doing kind things like that. She really takes care of the whole person, not just the medical reason they are in the hospital.
