My husband was admitted with kidney stones that had blocked his left kidney causing even more pain and infection. Dr. M put in a stent. While all the staff were wonderful, Colleen was his night nurse. My husband's temp had gone up just a few tenths and she was right on it. She was kind, considerate, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. Her bedside manner was awesome!
Colleen took the time to get to know us and to tell us about herself. Her personality and demeanor instantly encouraged trust and comfort. She was the first nurse to write on his whiteboard a plan of care. Colleen truly helped my husband and myself during a scary, stressful situation. We both even slept better with her on duty. Her compassion and professionalism are the perfect combinations for an extraordinary nurse. She is the ultimate role model for a nurse.
