When Cynethia is charge nurse you know she is in charge! Everything is in order, everything runs smooth, and everything is done perfectly, professionally, the way it should be. She greets the patients and families with a warm welcome to Kaleida Health! When she is not in charge and sees the patients one on one, you would think she is speaking to her mom! The warm compassion and the bedside service that Cynethia gives her patients assure them that everything will be fine. One day I was turning over a room – the same room Cynethia and her patient were in –and I saw the eye contact, the soft-spoken comfort that she gave her patient, and it just warmed my heart! I said to myself, she is the heart, the face, the beginning and end of care at Kaleida Health! This is a daily routine. She never misses a beat, and never changes; always the same to me and everyone she meets.
