...Prior to my labor, I was mostly nervous about getting a nurse that would fully support my wish to have a natural child birth. As soon as Cynthia and her student Heather walked in the room, I knew she was exactly what I had hoped and prayed for. Her presence in the room brought me a sense of calmness when I needed it the most. Cynthia and her student shared that they had natural births, so when she would look at me and tell me "you can absolutely do this" it gave me confidence. I also will never forget her dedication to trying everything possible to fulfill my wish to have a natural birth, as well as her excellent bear hug in the OR getting a spinal when I was scared and needed someone's support. I will forever think about that day and have nothing but positive thoughts on my birth experience, and I know that is because of having Cynthia as my nurse. She even came to see me two days later in my post partum room, which meant more to me than she will ever know. Cynthia, I cannot thank you enough and hope you know what an extraordinary nurse you are.
