Her first nomination said:
"... Daishon McCullough from the IMC department came into work on her day off to visit a patient who was on comfort care. She had cared for this patient in the previous days before. She came in to visit the patient and to let him know he impacted her life and she has been thinking about him. Family members were beyond speechless that she came in on her day off but also to tell him how special he was to her. Daishon's eyes showed all the emotion she had and how truly caring she is. She has such a big heart and she is very special and extraordinary. She needs to be recognized for how wonderful she is. She truly is the definition of a great nurse!"
Her second nomination said:
"Family of a patient on IMC could not afford food and was only allowed one tray a day. Daishon went to the caf and spent her own money to give the family member of the patient food. Then on the next day, when Daishon was off, she came in to make sure she had something to eat."
