I took my brother in law, who has dementia, to the Myrtle Beach Clinic for his annual checkup. Dana spent a great deal of time explaining the benefits of proper dieting and exercise since he is diabetic and has high blood pressure. Dana also offered to check his feet and noticed a bunion, which could have an adverse effect if it bled. He also gave him a blood pressure measuring device and instructed us on how to use it. He even scheduled a follow-up visit to determine whether the medication had an impact on his blood pressure. Dana was very professional, knowledgeable and has a strong sense of compassion and empathy for someone with dementia.
