Dara said she felt that it was a miracle from God because she was praying and trying to get him some much-needed help.
Recently, a family member of a patient came to the front desk and requested the nurse for the patient to report to the his room. Dara Suchke was the nurse on duty, she went to the room. it was later reported to me that, Dara started crying when she saw the family member because the patient was all alone with no listed family members and was scheduled to be discharged that day. After questioning, Dara said she felt that it was a miracle from God because she was praying and trying to get him some much-needed help. The patient was malnourished, failed to eat and was going home alone. Dara sat and talked with the family member explaining the patient's medical progress thus providing education on how the patient should be taken care of upon discharge. The patient and the family member wrote Dara a poem:
"Dara the nurse has no fear, Her compassion will bring he no fears, such a beautiful soul, She makes us feel whole, And for her, we shout three cheers."
I hereby nominate Dara for her compassion, love, and care for her patient.
