Debra Smith is nothing but stellar. Debra is motivated, engaged, dedicated, and takes ownership in absolutely everything she does.
Recently, we had a patient on the unit who was discharged and lived near Lake Okeechobee. This patient did not have transportation home. This nurse made numerous phone calls to friends she knew who lived in the area to assist with safe reliable transportation for this patient.
Debra strives to make a personal connection to her patients and their family members and makes it a point to round on them even after they have left the ICU.
Debra is a gem to the department, facility, Tenet organization, and the nursing profession.
