Denise was so attentive in taking care of me and making me comfortable.
Emily was truly my angel. I have an unfortunate history of IV drug use which makes starting IVs very difficult. No one else could seem to get it despite best efforts. I could tell my patience was running a little thin, but then Emily showed up. She got it! I would later find out that she probably saved my life because I had to have emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. She kept me grounded throughout the entire process. All of my family lives down in South Carolina and my boyfriend had not arrived back at the hospital. I was all alone and totally terrified. I'd just been told I was pregnant; I was filled with disbelief, joy, and excitement just to find out soon after that the life growing in me that I had just mentally imagined holding and loving would not come to fruition. I was devastated. Devastation was then met with total terror to find out I had to have emergency surgery because the rupture had caused me to have internal bleeding. Emily was right there to hold my hand. I never got to apologize for squeezing it so tightly or to tell her how truly grateful I was for everything she did. It’s the best experience I've ever had at any hospital.
I also don’t want to leave out Denise, my post-op nurse. She was so attentive in taking care of me and making me comfortable. She even spoke to my mother for me and explained what happened. These ladies are definitely the best at what they do and they truly should be recognized for the extraordinary care they give. I will never forget that day or my angels. If you could please pass along my enormous gratitude I would truly appreciate it. Thank you!
