Diane always goes above and beyond for each patient, hers or not, and is always willing to teach, learn and grow as an RN professional.

Diane had a very young man trauma patient that was ejected from a vehicle. During his stay with us they were unable to locate family. Not only did she as a seasoned trauma nurse care for this patient with efficiency and skilled intervention and critical thinking she also emotionally was there. He died in our trauma bay from significant head trauma and she stayed by his bedside until he was gone. She held his hand and helped him die with dignity.

This is only one of many things Diane has gone above and beyond. She always takes students and challenges them to apply their critical thinking skills.
