My dear Dominique knew what to say, her words were therapeutic.
From the first time Dominique came into our room her smile lit up my room and brought peace and comfort to me. I never had to ask her for anything. She was always one step ahead of everyone. I was diagnosed within the last two weeks with stage four cancer. I had to wear oxygen 24 hours a day. I was getting my PICC line placed, the outside of my lung drained and started receiving strong chemo, three different ones. My dear Dominique knew what to say, her words were therapeutic. Her kindness was not only in words but actions. She held my hand and was there throughout my chemotherapy treatments. Her beautiful spirit was there for me medically and mentally. She has left an imprint on my heart forever. My family and I will never forget her. Mom’s birthday was chemo day and Dominique made it so very special. She created a Happy Birthday drawing, had balloons, and a necklace. Dominique also led us in the traditional birthday song. Thank you.
