Dyl is not only one of the most friendly, funny, and compassionate people I have ever met, but he is also the HARDEST working nurse I have had the pleasure of knowing. In the fall of 2021, Dyl took my advice to go explore Utah and all of its beauty before the weather got too cold, especially Arches. I got a text the next day from Dyl that he had broken both of his arms in an accident. I quickly worked to hopefully find him something to do for work as he healed and Dyl refused. He wanted to continue practicing at the bedside while in soft casts. His travel partner helped him with turning, but Dyl did not want his patients to suffer or his fellow nurses to be overwhelmed. He has fully healed and continues to provide amazing care to each and every one of his patients. Although this experience isn't about one incident, in particular, his actions made a HUGE difference in many patients' lives over the weeks he continued to push through his own pain and healing. He prioritized his patients' needs over his own.
