Edna's dedication didn't stop there, my hair was all tangled and messy. She noticed how this affected me and on her day off while I was in SICU, she showed up and untangled my hair, it took 2 hours.
I would like to bring to your attention what a great asset to this facility Edna is. Let me explain. I have been admitted to Cleveland Clinic and it has been very hard, to say the least. Edna took excellent care of me during those difficult days, every time I was her patient. Even on the days I wasn't her patient she still found a few minutes to check on me. Her dedication didn't stop there, my hair was all tangled and messy. She noticed how this affected me and on her day off while I was in SICU, she showed up and untangled my hair, it took 2 hours, but to me, it meant so much. All this forced isolation because of COVID, no family or friends able to visit, made what Edna did leave a mark of gratitude. I cannot see her without going to that afternoon and what I felt and start crying. She showed affection and care to a complete stranger under her care and it made an impact and confirmed once again what I already knew, that nursing is a call made out to certain souls on earth to be God's helpers.
