Elaine Paquete is an incredible nurse and human being. Her attention and care was impressive. Elaine helped ease my anxiety about the induction process. She explained every step of the process and checked for understanding. This is my 2nd child I've delivered at Kaiser, and while I appreciate all the nurses, Elaine stands out. As a woman of color, I felt safe with Elaine as her authentic approach put me at ease and even made me proud. She expressed compassion as I endured the increased pain associated with the induction process. Elaine did everything possible to address my discomfort. Her interactions with other practitioners was positive and it was obvious she is a trusted colleague. Not surprising as she earned my trust immediately as a result of her care and concern as well as ongoing insight that made a very unpredictable process predictable. She was kind to everyone that entered the room. I feel so fortunate to have had Elaine as my nurse during this scary time. She is the standard for all nurses.
