Elmerson single-handedly supported this multi-treatment room from day one, where he treated nine patients.
Elmerson really stepped during the COVID-19 surge when the hospital’s need for dialysis treatments doubled. The hospital set up a multi-treatment room for DaVita nephrology nurses to utilize, which we never had in this hospital before. The DaVita acute manager said, “Elmerson single-handedly supported this multi-treatment room from day one, where he treated nine patients”. He worked until 3:00 am and continued to support this multi-treatment room and avoided having to triage any patients during the COVID-19 surge, all the while expecting his second child. He is also a preceptor, about to go out on paternity leave, and is focused on a smooth hand-off and assuring all training is done well prior to going out on leave. His commitment to his program and his patients is very much appreciated.
