Elzbieta is one of the most industrious nurses on my team and perhaps also one of the humblest. She puts in a very long day each day taking excellent care of her patients. She is not shy about getting her hands dirty. She has helped to bathe patients, take them to the bathroom and change soiled and bloody linens. Her generosity and graciousness are also extended to co-workers in that she is always willing to offer her help to another nurse in need. Whenever I have to cover any of her patients, it is clear that her patients adore her. She cares for their wounds and their ailments but she also nourishes their soul with her soft voice, her stories, and compassionate touch. The care she provides to her patients is holistic and all-encompassing and any patient who has had her as their nurse is truly fortunate.
