I was admitted overnight post-op and had the true pleasure and blessed experience with Emilie as my nurse. I have been treated at a pain clinic with opioids for nearly 20 years and managing pain - particularly postoperative pain - it is very difficult and frustrating. It takes a long time, is not adequate, etc. Emilie worked a long time at a pain clinic. Emilie listened to my pain, and my concerns even over PO ability, etc. But she made this stay so tolerable, pain-wise, and truly delightful as a hospital can be by tracking down Dr. after Dr. trying to find mine. She was diligent, efficient, and fast! She touched my heart by advocating for me to my caretakers. When my Dr when finally found out about my pain concerns and needs she made it happen. I went from 10/10 to 7/10 and kept falling positively. All that aside, she is a lovely young woman, we need more nurses like Emilie! So compassionate, genuine, caring, kind, non-judgmental, and very talented in her work. She is in the right field of work for sure! You are so lucky to have Emilie on your team!
