Recently, Ephrem was taking care of a very disorganized, restless, and impulsive patient. He was assigned to that patient each time he worked and made every effort to connect with his patient. He spent a great deal of time explaining the treatment plan to the patient and was able to gain his trust which resulted in med compliance and helped the patient move toward recovery. Ephrem helped the patient understand his illness and the importance of his medication. It was Ephrem's caring and passionate approach that made the patient feel supported. He was able to keep the patient calm with his caring and nonjudgmental approach. It was a pleasure seeing the patient approach a staff member to thank him for helping him through the struggle with a manic episode.
