My six-month-old daughter was hospitalized for a week after she was found unresponsive during a nap at her grandma's house. Long story short, she had seven seizures in the PICU. As new parents, we were completely overwhelmed by almost losing our baby, then watching helplessly as she seized over and over. Little did we know that God had sent us an angel. Her name is Erica. Erica explained she was extremely passionate about Epilepsy and was available to answer all of our questions. After our daughter's cluster of seizures, Erica sat in our room and complimented how well we handled the episodes. She wrote down all medications. She was able to take my baby's level without waking her up (so impressive!) She role played seizure scenarios with us and made sure we were 100% confident before going home. On top of her incredible knowledge, she made my daughter smile and laugh every visit. We were so lucky to have Erica for three shifts. She is the angel nurse that helped our baby heal. For that, we are forever grateful.
