After being brought to the emergency ward by ambulance in the afternoon, I was later admitted to the neuro ward. The care I received throughout my stay was very good, however, I want to specifically commend Nurse Francesca Inman. She provided excellent and professional care while at the same time she demonstrated a very positive and upbeat attitude every time she came into my room.
Fran always greeted me and my family members with a positive and upbeat attitude. She was diligent about checking my condition, ensuring I had what I needed, and I was comfortable. She was thorough about documenting all the results for hospital records. Fran always entered my room as if she was happy to see me, while at the same time she displayed compassion and concern for me and my medical condition. Her sympathetic reassurances were so welcome at a time when I was apprehensive about what was causing my concern with my vertigo, dizziness and double vision.
Shady Grove Hospital is to be congratulated on having such a wonderful staff. Fran certainly has substantiated this.

I was super nervous and anxious, and Fran calmed me and put me at ease.

My mother had just had surgery in another hospital the day before she started having stroke-like symptoms. After spending a very long night of pain and much concern, Fran Inman started her day. She was compassionate and always had a smile. She not only took care of my mother, who was not well but also my father.
Fran was upbeat and always had something special to say. Her smile is contagious. It was clear that my mother's well-being was not just a job. She treated her like family. When she needed medications, she would go out of her way to get them ASAP. If she couldn't get them, she would explain why and always apologized. When my dad and I had to leave to get food, she was particularly present and interested in my mom. When I was gone, the neurologist came to see my mom. Fran knew I had been waiting all morning to see him so she conferenced in my sister on my mom's cell phone so she too could hear what the neurologist had to say.
I failed to state that neither my mother nor my father speaks English well. Language was never a barrier for this dedicated nurse. I suspect we might never see Fran again. However, her care, professionalism and true desire to serve her patients makes her unforgettable.
Thanks, Fran! Well done! Thanks for being so loving towards my family when we needed you most!

Fra was so amazing. She stands head and shoulders above her colleagues. Fran enthusiastically attends to patients' well-being, not just in her duties, but overall in her positive attitude and helpful spirit.
Fran is a breath of fresh air when I wasn't feeling well. Her caring spirit is a gift to all her patients. I truly appreciate Fran's caring approach to giving her best to her patients!

It's been a total pleasure to have Nurse Francesca Inman. She is a great woman, very compassionate and attentive, which is what a patient needs in a professional nurse like Fran. Her smile can brighten anyone's day and has certainly done so for me.
Fran has made my stay at Shady Grove Adventist more comfortable and tolerable. I commend her and this establishment should as well for her remarkable services.
I've been in a lot of in-patient stays as an officer injured and I must say I have never received the loving care that this particular young lady bestowed upon me. She is truly one extraordinary nurse.
