I have worked with Gabby for the past two years on acute care and let me tell you what a pleasure it is!! She puts her heart and soul into her care for patients!! She is famous for her "Gabby Hospice Talks." She can eloquently put it to patients and family that hospice is their best option when no one else will. I have seen her cry in the med room so many times over terrible situations patients are going through. She goes above and beyond every shift, she works and she works a lot and she does this out of fear that the patients and staff won't have the care they need if they are short-staffed! She has a wonderful family at home that she puts on hold to work her numerous extra shifts! She is also one of the most intelligent nurses I have ever worked with over my 17 years as a nurse I say this because I am pushing her to become an APRN because I know she would be amazing at it! Gabby is one of the most selfless employees we have at CRMC! She loves her patients and staff and I know when I would work a shift with Gabby that we would handle whatever was thrown our way (and we have had some stuff thrown at us). I am so glad I had the short time I did working with her as she has touched the lives of so many patients and family members. She is the epitome of a skillful and compassionate nurse!!
