1. Being a novice RN and new to the Neurology unit, I have found that Gena consistently goes out of the way, not only for me, but for all of the staff. Gena wears many different hats and is never hesitant about lending a hand or giving advice. Whenever Gena is working I notice that things are being done without question. I am very very thankful for her. Without her well needed assistance I would have found myself far behind in my work. We all learn from Gena exemplary display of teamwork that she continues to share with us. She shows us how to be a team. And I am so glad to be on hers.
2. When a patient and his family requested I be with them while the patient had his MRI because it just made them feel better, Gena made her available to me and to the patient and his family by covering my assignment so I could be with the patient. She understood how important it was to me that they get their procedure done and how important it was for the patient and his family to get the emotional support they needed. Gena goes above and beyond every single day. She is a definite assist. She is caring, professional, humble, and always available.
3. Gena is one of the hardest working Nurses I have ever met. I have been working in Hospitals for 30 years and if I was ever sick I would want her to take of me or my family members. She is very caring and if you give her a problem she work on it until it's solve or she will give it to someone who can solve it. Plus she is a nice person we need more people like her in Nursing.
4. She is always available for staff and patients and family members. She is very pleasant, calm in times of crisis. She is knowledgeable of clinical issues. She always displays a very professional demeanor.
5. Gena is a very strong, hard working individual who doesn't mind helping in all areas regardless of what the situation maybe. As her role as a charge nurse, co-worker RN and a friend she's very reliable and outstanding.
