Gerry is an amazing nurse. He is very attentive to detail and he takes the time to build a relationship with the patients and their families. It doesn't matter why the patient is in the ER, he is respectful and gives each one his attention and individual care. He is always willing to help his co-workers when busy, he doesn't leave when his shift is over, he stays until things are under control. He will come in early when needed and flex his schedule to help. He brings ideas and looks for ways to improve our processes. Gerry's co-workers comment frequently that they love to work with him.

Gerry made sure we were taken care of properly and checked in on my son and I while we were waiting since their department was very busy. He apologized that we had not been seen during one of his check-ins even though we were very well. He talked to my son about his symptoms rather than ignoring him and speaking only with me. He also made sure I understood the severity of the symptoms and the medications to give. He thoroughly described it all to me and, in fact, was very thorough in the entire process. Not only was his skill set impressive, but he was also kind.
