My large extended family has been with my mother on 6 East Acute/Neuro since she was admitted Friday evening. The care my mother has received from all the nursing staff has been excellent. Every nurse and patient care technician stands out but Gloria is like a shining light. She exudes warmth, caring, professionalism, cheerfulness and never seems to be too busy to help. She explained everything that she was doing to my family, answered patiently all the questions my mother and family had. She was able to help everyone relax which in turn helped my mother breath better.
When Gloria is taking care of my mom, she is respectful, caring and gives of her time freely. My mother never felt that Gloria was rushed or needed to see another patient which I am sure she did. My mother always seemed better when I visited her.
Gloria would probably tell you it's just part of the job but she goes above and beyond. I feel that Gloria's nursing career is her calling and we are all better because of her.
