We were fortunate to have Irene as J's nurse for two very busy and medically complex days. You have a treasure in this highly skilled, compassionate nurse who advocated for J with persistence, kindness, and passion for her patient's needs. Irene moved heaven and earth to be sure J had sedation just once in coordinating an MRI and PICC placement in IR. A challenge not for the faint of heart. Upon return from IR, J was in respiratory distress. Irene grabbed Respiratory Therapy and together with me and my husband got J stable and comfortable - it took an hour. Irene exemplifies all that is good in nursing and Hackensack.
