After each small group meeting facilitated by Jade, I feel connected to and cared for by the VUSN community, reminded of my passion for nursing, and both heard and supported. She fosters a culture of vulnerability, respect, and excellence in each class session. She deeply invests in her students, fosters diversity and inclusion, and calls students to high academic standards. Jade strikes the perfect balance of giving our community health clinical group the autonomy to explore and take risks in our improvement plan while also respectfully guiding us and challenging us to think differently. Time with her each week is singlehandedly the highlight of my VUSN coursework.
