Janiel has a great depth of compassion and empathy; she puts her patients first at the center of care and will go out of her way to ensure that their nursing needs are met with positive outcomes.
I am nominating Janiel for The DAISY Award because she is very committed and dedicated to her nursing responsibilities toward her patients and families. Janiel has a great depth of compassion and empathy; she puts her patients first at the center of care and will go out of her way to ensure that their nursing needs are met with positive outcomes. She displays incomparable acts of compassion that I have ever seen. For instance, she will voluntarily go on home visits as early as 7:30 am (before the service start time) to accommodate families’ plans and schedules when they cannot meet the service’s opening times.
Janiel is also always willing to come on duty to go on home visits and support the team during her days off. This level of dedication to children, young people, and their families is unparallel. Janiel is a very valuable and resourceful member of the team; she brings a lot of knowledge and experience, and she is very trustworthy. Another attribute of hers is supporting students on placement and contributing to their learning and professional development in order to create great future nurses for the workforce.
It is a great privilege for me to nominate her as I have worked with and managed Janiel since she was an aspiring nurse and HCA, her growth and development have been phenomenal.
