Jansuda is outstanding in her dedication to the patient care in ICU. She promotes a vision of growth and learning to the newest members of staff to enhance their expertise and delivery of care. She is and has been dedicated to teaching a standard of care that meets the needs of the sickest patient which can only translate to a better recovery.

Jan cares about the patients and families in this ICU. She explains procedures, prognosis in a manner that they understand. This means taking time to ensure all questions and concerns are answered in a compassionate, kind, but realistic way. This is not easy, it takes practice and experience to tell a family member their loved one is not going to make it, or that a difficult painful decision has to be made without guilt.

Tonight she spent time explaining to a mother what to expect during the recovery of her son I was so impressed and the Mom told me later how wonderful Jan was and how grateful she was her son had been brought to JPS. This is a mom who will go out into the community and spread the word.

Tonight she was amazing getting this young man out of bed and staying by him for an hour. Now this sounds easy but he was on a ventilator and very wild, he was restrained and combative but she kept mom calm and accomplished a first time ambulation which was really needed and others had avoided. She is amazing.
