I was recently graced to have Jeanne Davis as one of my nurses while a patient recently. She had such a pleasing and comforting way about her yet exuded confidence. She engaged me in conversation which eased my anxiety. It appeared as though she may have been mentoring a newer nurse to the endoscopy department. This gave me an opportunity to see her sensitivity to not just me the patient, but also that of a fellow nurse. She really knew what she was doing and was great coaching the newer nurse. She regularly checked in on me and was very sensitive to my comfort with the temperature and positioning. She sought out opportunities to see if I had any questions which made me feel that as a patient, I was part of the team. She managed my conscious sedation and on a couple of occasions during the procedure I remembering waking up a little, seeing her smiling face and felt "safe". Her interaction with my physician led me to believe that he held her in high regard as they worked so well together.
