Jennifer stayed with me until my wife arrived and when she broke into tears, Jennifer held her too.
I have been in the hospital several times. My wife knows your halls like she knows her own home. I've encountered so many compassionate members but there is a nurse who I believe deserves this special recognition. I've been delivered to the hospital on more occasions than I could count. On four of those occasions, I was taken in by Jennifer. She always treats me like a human being. She knows my wife's first name. On our 3rd encounter, I was suffering from a terrible heart attack and I felt like I was nearing my end. I reached out to Jennifer to tell her I did not want to die alone and asked if she could stay with me. She embraced me with the arm I'd reached for, injected my IV, and called for assistance in what felt like seconds, never loosening her grip. Jennifer stayed with me until my wife arrived and when she broke into tears, Jennifer held her too. She delivered us to the ICU after almost 3 hours of maintaining my vitals as my heart spiked and fell. I appreciate her humanity in that of a crisis more than I can explain. Jennifer is a modern-day superhero.
