Jennifer is very compassionate and brings so much positivity to everyone. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had all the supplies at bedside. She always jumps in to help her team, as I saw when there were some problems with my IV pump. She responded quickly to my call bell as my RN was at breakfast. She has a strong desire to help patients and make sure their stay is as enjoyable as possible.
Jennifer exhibits all these values (Know Me, Respect Me, Care About Me, and Delight Me) every day with her patients. Specifically, she was working Christmas Eve when I was in the hospital. She "cared" about me by listening to my story leading up to the surgery. She made sure I was as pain free as possible. She understood how scared I was to be in the hospital. She knew how hard it was to be a medical provider and a patient.
I've had the pleasure of working with Jennifer in the ICU. I'm a PA-C at a local practice. Each day I would come in for my shift early and she would alert me to abnormal labs, etc. on her patients. She always had a smile and was eager to help, to say the least. Even after she worked the night shift, she was very welcoming to all her colleagues.
Also, without blinking an eye, Jennifer kept my machine filled with ice. My IV pump was beeping, and she heard it from down the hall and stopped to fix it for us. She is a model RN both in and out of the hospital. I've always respected her so very much. She is very deserving of this honor.
