She truly made the dark days a lot brighter. She is a ray of sunshine with a heart of gold.
I was a patient at Stony Brook for 2 1/2 weeks. After countless tests I was told I had a mini stroke. I was frightened, terrified, and in shock thinking of my beautiful kids at home. At a time when I felt helpless and unsure of what was to come, I was given an angel at Stony Brook Hospital who made me believe things would get better. Nurse Jenn McCoy was truly an angel sent to me. She was patient and kind and made me feel at home. She was there whenever I needed her. She truly made the dark days a lot brighter. She is a ray of sunshine with a heart of gold. When I was told I would need to use a feeding tube at home, I was devastated. Jenn relieved my worries with her positivity and showed my daughter and me how to operate the feeding tube with ease and patience. She took the time to write down the steps step by step for me and really gave me a positive outlook. Her skills are unmatched, and her dedication is evident. I want to thank Jenn for being my angel. Her personality, kindness, patience, compassion, grace, and commitment shined every day she entered my room. She went above and beyond to make me smile each and every day. She made me feel so comfortable. She made my experience at Stony Brook so much brighter, and I will remember her for a lifetime. Everyone needs a Jenn in their life.
