Jennifer has consistently demonstrated an unmatched level of engagement in skin initiatives and has actively sought ways to improve patient outcomes, promote education, and advance knowledge in the field. Her proficiency in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of skin conditions has led to enhanced patient experiences, reduced complications, and improved overall healthcare quality.  

Jennifer quickly volunteered herself as the nurse lead for the ICU skin task force to reduce Hospital Acquired Pressure Injuries. She has collaborated with the respiratory department to discuss ways to decrease medical device-related pressure injuries and has engaged with the informatics department to enhance the documentation pieces as well as the workflow of the nurse. She is working to create a skin-friendly culture and has created flyers, skin assessment quizzes, and skin task force audits. She has engaged with vendors to seek out ways to properly position patients with a turning and positioning system to find the best fit for the critically ill patients. Under her guidance, the team has successfully implemented evidence-based interventions in collaboration with the wound care nursing team. She is utilizing her marketing background to promote a "save the face" campaign to reduce pressure injuries by promoting proactive solutions to padding areas of pressure points from medical devices such as the nose, the ears, and areas such as trach sites. 

When she is not working on skin, she is providing compassionate care. When a patient expressed their desire to become an organ donor, Jennifer went above and beyond to facilitate the organ donation process. She worked diligently with the appropriate medical professionals and ensured that all necessary procedures and documentation were properly handled. Jennifer's dedication and commitment to honoring the patient's wishes resulted in the successful donation of organs, ultimately saving multiple lives and leaving an enduring legacy of generosity. 

Jennifer also is committed to giving back to the community by participating in Habitat for Humanity to build homes for those less fortunate. Jen does all her work thoroughly, passionately, and with a compassionate, friendly touch. She delivers her care with the utmost professionalism but is also down to earth and brightens the room with her smile. Her extraordinary efforts in providing specialized care and her continuous pursuit of professional growth truly set her apart.
