Jennifer embodies a compassionate leader most of all in the way she treats her coworkers.
When Jennifer comes on shift in the ER, she has a positive attitude and is ready to work hard. She has an incredible amount of energy after only one cup of coffee. I don't think I have ever met anybody as proactive. First on her list after getting CN handoff if the ER isn't particularly busy is to clean up the environment (put away CAPRs/return phones to the bin/wipe down surfaces) - a job she has assigned to herself knowing it might not get done otherwise. She proactively rounds the ER organizing, checking in on team members to see how their patients are doing, giving words of encouragement, and making sure nurses have received their breaks. Jennifer is detail-oriented in the work she does and as a charge nurse, ensures that the ER runs as smoothly as possible. On top of this, Jennifer gracefully manages the RNs' schedules in the midst of a critical staffing shortage. Jennifer embodies a compassionate leader most of all in the way she treats her coworkers. She is quick with a compliment, compassionate when delivering feedback, non-judgmental, incredibly thorough, open in receiving feedback herself and has stellar situational awareness to know when to lend a hand and what resources might be needed. She is truly an asset to our ER, and a teammate we are all lucky to have.
