Jennifer Wriker was nominated by a volunteer from our hospital and recognized for the excellent care that she consistently gives to others. Jennifer is a nurse who took care of this volunteer while he was a patient recovering from an orthopedic procedure. Jennifer had given instructions for the patient to call for help before getting out of bed because he had a nerve block. The patient unfortunately did not heed this advice and fell. He said that when Jennifer came into the room instead of being critical she showed true compassion. He was so impressed with Jennifer and how she helped him and worked well with the other staff on the unit. He decided to become a hospital volunteer and is now routinely assigned to this 3W nursing unit. Jennifer is a true example of an extraordinary DAISY Nurse.
