Jessica Rogers' clinical skill and especially her compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. Jessica had been working with a patient who needed many surgeries to repair his foot after a motorcycle accident. Our patient was scheduled for hyper-baric treatment in our wound-care clinic, and then surgery later that day. There was a transportation delay which could have caused out patient to miss the much-needed treatment for wound care. Jessica took it upon herself to go down to find a gurney, and transported the patient to the clinic. The patient and his wife were so thankful that Jessica cared so much for his well-being.
