R passed away about 4:00 AM the following day, and if it had not been for Jill's compassion and quick resolution, we may not have been able to be there.
I had an extremely traumatic admission. We gave birth to our baby R by emergency C-section at 24 weeks 2 days and she wasn't doing well. I was on day 14 of a Covid infection and had been cleared of isolation and allowed to see my baby in the NICU at 2:00 AM. A Nursing Manager and OB who had nothing to do with my care placed us back in isolation with no regard for the infectious disease MD, NICU MD, and OB who had cleared us the day before and the OB refused to come in and talk to us. Upon change of shift, Jill empathetically listened to our story and immediately involved the OB, NICU, and Nurse Manager who all quickly solved the problem and took us back off of isolation. We were back in the NICU by 9:00 AM. That day turned out to be the last full day that our baby lived and Jill made sure we were able to spend as much time as possible there. R passed away about 4:00 AM the following day, and if it had not been for Jill's compassion and quick resolution, we may not have been able to be there. We cannot thank her enough. She apologized profusely for the way we were treated before she got there and we could feel the sincerity. The care we received from the nurses and doctors on the Mom Baby floor and the care R received was phenomenal and we thank you for being one small piece of light in what was the worst days of our lives. Thank you, Jill!
