Joan was amazing as my father's nurse. She treated him with respect and dignity. She spoke to him with such a quiet, soothing and reassuring tone. She didn't talk down to him. When he lost control of his bowels, she didn't call for an aide. She cleaned him up herself and helped lessen his embarrassment. My mother was a nurse for close to 50 years and she is very particular as to the care patients should receive. She was very impressed and grateful with the care that Joan showed her husband of 67 years and my father.

Sanford is very fortunate to have nurse Joan on staff. You can tell she loves her job and cares about people. Joan cares for the body, mind, and spirit of her patients. She is a real nurse in every sense of the word!
