On August 4th my brother, who had been in ICU since July 23rd, finally had his breathing tube removed at 10:37 AM. It was then that I was aware that Joe was the nurse on duty when he had been brought in by ambulance. He was so kind and even got emotional when he told my brother how good he had done and how wonderful it was to be able to see him again since he thought he was going to lose him that night. It was wonderful to witness the genuine care and concern and the connection they made, I thought they were both going to cry. All went so well until 3:55 that afternoon when he flat lined - Code Blue - Joe was immediately there and the entire ICU team.
Because of their prompt attention, wonderful care, and much, much patience, we have our little brother back. We are so appreciative and grateful! Thank you.
