My 72-year-old mom was in the ED for cardiac issues. Her heart rate was extremely low. Josh Wright was her nurse and was very compassionate and kind to her. He took time to explain everything that was going on. He explained the function of her heart. What a normal sinus rhythm is and drew images of what a normal rhythm looks like and how hers was different. He explained the different lab values, what normal is, etc. He took time with her, assured her they were taking care of her, and would do all they could to make her feel better. He was also fantastic with our family and ensured we were all OK. He made her feel cared for and safe. He listened to her concerns and made sure he answered them. She was so grateful for her care team. So patient and calming for her. Although he had to do jobs many might not like, he made it clear he was there to help her and was happy to care for her. Her entire team was wonderful!
