Karen was our Labor & Delivery nurse during the day. She was very caring and considerate. She went to get us more pillows without us asking and made sure we were comfortable. She was sensitive enough to move the IV drip to the other side of my bed since it was attached to my left hand, even though the previous nurse said its better to have the IV draped over me instead since it's closer to the machine. She encouraged me to get additional dosage of epidural whenever I needed. She was sensitive to how I was feeling throughout my contractions and didn't hesitate to update the doctor whenever I felt slightly off.

Most importantly, Karen was very supportive and soothing with her words when I was having painful contractions as well as during the actual pushing of the delivery. I still remember her telling me I was doing a good job and to breathe and let the baby go down naturally. She always asked if we needed anything, including my husband, and made sure we were always comfortable. She made me feel very well taken care of throughout my birthing experience and I was very grateful. Her thoughtfulness carried through to post-birth care. She was efficient with the clean up and helped us transition to the recovery room without us feeling rushed.

All in all, I can't say enough good things about Karen and I truly appreciate her gentle care. We appreciate you, Karen!
