Karen stewart floated to 4 North and was caring for a patient that was on comfort measures.
Patient was being suctioned PRN and was on oxygen. The daughter called me to say that Karen went above and beyond. She took it upon herself to put a humidifier on the O2 that made the patient more comfortable. The daughter felt because of this action her mom did not need to be suctioned as much. The patient's daughter also stated that she felt Karen's compassion every time she was in the room caring for her mom.

Karen has floated to 4 North many times as she is very thorough in her assessments. She often picks up on subtle things when it comes to caring for sick patients. She is always pleasant and hardworking. Karen is a strong patient advocate. It is a pleasure to have Karen on the ORMC team.
