She checked on us every moment she could. She listened as my husband went on and on about his medical history that brought him to where we are now.
Karla is so amazing, such a happy bubbly young lady who has a permanent smile on her face. She has no idea that I’m a nervous wreck and trying to not let my husband know how stressful this is for me. Her beautiful attitude kept me preoccupied from thinking of everything else going on around me. She checked on us every moment she could. She listened as my husband went on and on about his medical history that brought him to where we are now. My husband does not do well with pain at all. He asks a lot of questions. He is very hard of hearing. Karla never acted annoyed, she never rolled her eyes at him, or did anything rude. Instead, she treated him with such compassion and was attentive to all of his needs. I was informed as to what to do and where to wait while his procedure was performed. She stayed with us until he was admitted for an overnight stay. Karla took us to another area and introduced us to our new nurse. Before she walked away, she turned and asked if there was anything else she could do for us. Wow, who does that? Well, I guess a beautiful angel like Karla does. She made sure my husband got fed before we left her area, so amazing with everything she was dealing with, she remembered to get him food. When she found out I was a diabetic, she brought me some peanut butter and crackers, and asked if I needed anything else and was I doing ok. She took care of both of us as if we were her parents. Thank you for your kindness. I put on a brave face for my husband, but inside, I was beyond nervous. There was no way for you, Karla, to know this, but you treated us like we were your only patient all day long, going beyond anything I could ever have expected. Many thanks, and God bless you always. I thanked God for putting you on our path that day. Your beautiful spirit has made such an impact on me. I truly believe you deserve recognition for the work that you do. It is not easy to work with the public. I salute you and thank you for being such an outstanding young lady to the people whom you care for on a daily basis; you truly are amazing.
