I shall fondly remember Kate’s beautiful, smiling face during some difficult and painful times.
Thank you to Kate for caring for me and certainly brightening up an otherwise painful stay. You were there when the going was painful, despite the medication. YOU were the best medicine for me. I so looked forward to your care and our conversations. A patient at Dell is indeed blessed to have you as a nurse. I miss you already, and I’m not even gone, as the song goes. You always checked in on me before you rotated off duty. I knew you cared by your actions. Actions often speak louder than words, and you are an example of that. My burn will heal over time, but my experience here will be a living, good memory. You are a wonderful asset to the staff. Thanks again, Kate.

Kate treated me as if I was royalty! What a beautiful person and someone I will never forget. I shall fondly remember Kate’s beautiful, smiling face during some difficult and painful times. She knew when I needed some extra smiles and encouragement. Recovering from severe burns is perhaps not the usual hospital stay - she was with me the whole time! A skilled nurse with a personality to go with it. I thank God for Kate and wish/pray for her the richest blessings.

Kate was highly empathetic, while at the same time demonstrating a high level of competence. She took time to listen, understand, and meet our unique needs, rather than standardizing our care as routine. We looked forward to each day, hoping she would return. We had been in the hospital for multiple weeks, and having her as our day nurse made it bearable and positive.
