For three days while on duty, Katie demonstrated exemplary care for F and his family. She has such a kind and sweet demeanor, which made her entrance into the room a small blessing, although we knew there was “something” to be tended to. She allowed my son to assist her while bathing his father; no one knew that this would be his last bath. She made every effort to make F comfortable and allowed him to hold on to his dignity.

Katie never seemed to mind the constant disabling of the alarms due to the feeding tube placement when F was on Bi-Pap. “Got it,” was a constant as she jumped to clear the alarm. She showed care when she took blood, administered shots, and performed all the many duties of a MICU nurse! She was proficient, professional, and tender. Katie’s kindness will forever be remembered by our family!
