Katie is amazing. I have been receiving infusion for the past 16 weeks and every Friday, Katie makes me feel like I'm at a spa. It's transformative. She takes care and compassion to a different level and treats you like a person - not a patient. Truly one of a kind.

Going through Chemo is hard enough, but having an Oncology Nurse like Katie makes it easier. Katie is kind and attentive, as you would expect any nurse to be, but Katie's compassion sets her apart. She listens to each concern I have, no matter how small, and never makes me feel like I'm just complaining. Katie addresses them all, with suggestions for alleviating them and sometimes just lets me know it's ok to just complain. She not only follows up on past concerns week over week but has "learned" me as a patient to be able to identify my situation before I even describe it. I am a self-proclaimed wimp, and Katie can reduce my anxiety through her caring and honest support. She has seen me through two rounds of chemo, PICC line placement and removal, port placement and has helped prep me mentally for upcoming radiation. Katie not only cares for me but has been kind to each person who has brought me to chemo as well. She is an asset to not only the Cancer Center but the hospital as well. Katie deserves recognition for her above and beyond performance!
